Project Overview
Kids Village is the UK’s first purpose-built holiday village just for children with critical illness and their families. The Kids Village charity was founded by the Fletcher family after their own experience with childhood cancer, and is supported by a large supportive network of friends, families and people passionate about making the Kids Village a success.
Studio Seventeen were approached and asked to develop a website for Kids Village, incorporating a brand strategy and web identity. The website encourages donations to the building of a Kids Village resort, promotes their charity work and provides information about their journey and upcoming events. and an ongoing support contract.
We are very proud to be part of this amazing project. We have also designed promotional material and are very much looking forward to working with Kids Village moving forward.

With a beautiful blend of bespoke illustration, subtle animation and complex parallax scrolling, we have developed a stunning, fully-responsive website that provides a truly magical user experience.
Kids Village Website Branding
A Child’s Eye View
We want families who visit Kids Village to feel as if they’ve walked through a magic door and entered into a safe, peaceful and welcoming space. Using oversized toadstools, gigantic trees and creatures, viewers are transported into the child’s view and see things from a smaller perspective.
Page layouts are playful and illustrative, beginning from the top of a scene and scrolling down to beneath the surface. We implemented layered parallax headers to add a sense of depth and movement to the user experience.

A Touch of Adventure
Focusing on the outdoors, freedom and a touch of adventure, we wanted to reflect a magical land of nature in the Kids Village branding from a child’s eye view. Kids Village will be a place that everyone is welcome. It encompasses the spirit of childhood but with a sophisticated edge. Kids Village stands for happiness, freedom and nature.
